I like it and i like your style. you're actually a really good artist, and the choppy animation mixed with bad voice acting makes it unique but watchable. nice

Rojay101 responds:

Thank you and because of this comment i am going to do lots more and maybe when i can manage to get proper technology and do better i will. so thanks

LNR123 responds:

ty an i thank you

cool

awesome idea, i loved the trippy colors and the music at the begining screen (modest mouse amirite?)
you have a nice art style but you must get pissed when people mention the misadventures of flapjack, huh? because it's like the same style as that show
yeahhhh

UnderARock responds:

Nah its not Modest Mouse I just picked it up at flashkit , nah I dont get pissed, cause its not :\

not funny

Okay you guys discovered the pixel tool, congratulations. None of the shorts were funny or intriguing at all. I was completely bored the entire time. Nathaniel Milburns was neat because everybody loves his art and the ninja one was fast paced and pretty cool but other than that, the entire collab was shit and boring. And it had a horrible opening, awkward silences are not that funny and should never be used as an opening joke.

The filler inbetween skits was retarded also. A smiling jesus just isn't funny I've seen it all before. I'm not sure what kind of emotion you're trying to pull out of the viewer with this movie but it's definitely not laughter.

Emanhattan responds:

I get what you mean.

You made some pretty good points in your review I must admit.

Sad thing you didnt like it enough.

Not so deserving

The movie shows a lot of effort was put into the making, but it's just not that appealing. I've read many reviews and your responses and you seem to want to justify your boring movie with the fact that lots of effort was put into it, which is not the only thing that makes a great movie. You fire back and say that because this movie is 'late' or 'unoriginal' it should not effect the score or how one perceives it but this is not so. An idea can only be redone so many times before it becomes old and used up. You can only milk it so much to a certain extent and I think what you did here was milk a dry cow.

As said before me the hits and punches were too slow to be considered Matrix style and the big fancy moves were repeated too many times. You blame a lot of the repetition on the sprite set that you used which for some reason means it's not your fault? This is not true, you decided to use that sprite set and it's your job as the creator to make the movie interesting. Look at what Paul ter Voorde did with his limited sprite set of Mario and Luigi and he created a beautiful masterpeice which draws attention. You might argue that Mario sprites are easy to edit and create new ones, but that is your own fault for not choosing to use an easily edited sprite set.

Another one of my problems was, in fact, your use of sprites. The most famous recreation of this scene in flash was already a sprite movie, this only furthers the point of unoriginality in this movie.

The amount of effort shows in this movie such as your recoloring of the sprites and your syncing of the sound but it was not used in a way that keeps the educated viewer intereseted. Don't get me wrong, this movie works for the common Newgrounders but many experienced animators will be very offended that this scored such a high score. I myself am very appalled that this unoriginal sprite fest has scored a 4.20 but that's just my opinion.

LeviFolds responds:

Wow. You not only ripped on my movie but you ripped on 84% of Newgrounds users as well, all the while including yourself in that 16% of so-called educated viewers.

You seem to think that because you've submitted close to 40 animations to NG you have some knowledge that most don't. Wake up my friend, we all have a vote on this and when it all comes down, whatever score this receives is the one in deserves, plain and simple.

too laggy to even watch

it was so laggy i couldn't even see anything going on, and i was all ready for some hot hamster action. your shirt was good tho

djbdr248 responds:

it plays fine for everyone else

this is amazing

I just saw the movie on youtube with no credit to the author so I figured it must be on Newgrounds. This movie is absolutely beautiful and incredible and to think how little exposure it got. the ending scene as it pans out of the window brought a tear to my eye at how beautiful it was. I really wish this had gotten more exposure, it's a crim to humanity.

Five-Iron responds:

Nice of you to say that! :D

I thought did kind of get pulled down a bit too quickly from front page, but the point was that it did get there. Any many people faved it. Which is more than I could ever hope for :D

Thanks.

Great scott!

The animation and graphics were really bad, but the concept and comedy was good. Only suggestions is not to put a picture in the preloader, because it took a while to load the preloader before the bar came up, it was a bit confusing. Also, try to make them not as fat haha

M4KBOT responds:

its only 1.2 mb

impressive

i'm really impressed in the quality of these submissions, and the lunesta butterfly was a great way to open the collab. i really hope this doesn't go unnoticed

kenny responds:

Yeah, this is a REALLY big improvement from the last Super Collab. I hope it doesn't go unnoticed too. We spent a lot of time on this.
